Using the included mounting bracket, the ladder can be placed on the boat's gunwale or entry ladder. From there, the ladder extends down and away from your boat, creating a platform off your hull for the dog to sit or climb, giving your friend enough leverage to clamber onto the platform and into the boat. The ladder's unique design requires no drilling to successfully mount; both the gunwale and ladder-mount installations use gravity and optional straps to secure the ladder in place. When the day is done, the ladder removes easily and folds up into a compact, stowable size.
